Food Matters Live

In November, three of HRS’s very own communications experts; Harriet Smith RD, Dr Kathryn O’Sullivan and Donia Hilal hosted a masterclass with Food Matters Live, taking a deep dive into the Copywriting Considerations for Nutritional Supplement Brands. The team drew on their food industry and health writing backgrounds, to help brands understand the importance of evidence-based and industry-compliant copy, with a focus on GB/EU Nutrition, Health and Botanical Claims legislation.

The masterclass is packed with valuable insights that will help any nutritional supplement brand get clued up on all-important claims and copywriting considerations.

The session kicked off with HRS’ Founder and RD; Harriet Smith, exploring the common copywriting mistakes that brands make, and how to build evidence-based articulate copy. Dr Kathryn Brown then delved into the world of nutrition and health claims legislation, looking at how claims are defined, what permitted claims are and their permissions of use. Finally, Donia Hilal, Nutritionist, took us through botanical claims, what are botanical ingredients, what is the UK and EU stance for on hold claims, medicinal claims.

Food Matters Live are offering anyone who couldn’t make the event on the day, the chance to watch on-demand. We’ve added their link for this below, where you will be taken to the Food Matters Live website where you can purchase a ticket to watch again.
